Rue McClanahan Dies At 76.

Rue McClanahan died early on Thursday morning, Access Hollywood has confirmed.  “She passed away at 1 AM on Thursday,” her manager, Barbara Lawrence, told Access.  The former “The Golden Girls” star, known for her role as Blanche Deveraux, was 76.

According to Lawrence, Rue “had a stroke on Monday.” She suffered a minor stroke earlier this year following a bypass surgery. “She was in the hospital with her son, her sister, and her nephew,” Lawrence continued. “She died quickly, peacefully and beautifully.” The star was in New York at the time of her death.

Rue’s death follows the passing of two her of former “Golden Girls” co-stars, Bea Arthur in 2009 and Estelle Getty in 2008. BettyWhite , now 88, is the last living member of the quartet. “Rue was a close and dear friend,” Betty White said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “I treasured our relationship. It hurts more than I even thought it would, if that’s even possible.”

Rue was a true TV legend, with roles on dozens of shows and a career that spanned from the ‘60s to last year, when she appeared on episodes of “Law & Order” and “Meet The Browns.” But she was most beloved for her iconic role in “Golden Girls,” which ran from 1985-1992. She continued with the character in the short-lived spin-off “The Golden Palace,” which ran for just one season.

Joran Van der Sloot; Two Time Murderer On The Run.

Joran van der Sloot, the prime suspect in the May 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway, is now a suspect in ANOTHER murder.

A man twice arrested and released in the 2005 disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway in Aruba is now wanted in the weekend slaying of a woman in a Peruvian hotel room. Dutchman Joran Van der Sloot is the prime suspect in the brutal killing of 21-year-old Stephany Flores – and he’s already fled Peru for neighboring Chile, according to the slain girl’s father.

In a case that generated international interest, Van Der Sloot was questioned by Aruban authorities twice over Holloway’s disappearance.

Early Sunday, he was captured on casino video with Flores in Lima, said the dead girl’s dad, businessman Ricard Flores.  Stephany Flores, a native of Peru, was later found beaten and stabbed to death in a hotel room spattered with blood.  The room was booked in Van der Sloot’s name, according to Dutch media reports.

The slaying came five years after the disappearance of 18-year-old Holloway, last seen with Van der Sloot outside a nightclub in Aruba. The Alabama teen was on a high school graduation trip to the Caribbean island where she went missing in May 2005. Her body was never recovered. Van der Sloot was first detained shortly after the girl’s disappearance.  He was released – but then rearrested in 2007. Once again, he was questioned and never charged.

Col. Manuel Canlla, chief of detective in Lima, confirmed that Peruvian authorities are asking officials in Chile for help in the new case. Van der Sloot apparently fled Peru one day after he was caught on videotape.

Gary Coleman’s Wife Paused On Getting Him Medical Assistance.

Gary Coleman and Shannon Price

Gary Coleman‘s panicked wife initially balked at helping him after he suffered an apparent head injury that left him bloodied, according her 911 call. Shannon Price, 24, tells the operator that Coleman was stricken while preparing her something to eat the evening of May 26 downstairs in their Santaquin, Utah, home.  “He just got home, I heard this big bang, I went downstairs. Blood everywhere,” she says. “I don’t know if he’s okay. I’m not down there right now because I have a fever, if I get stressed out I’m going to faint.”

Price says, “He fell. His head is bloody. There’s blood all over the floor. I don’t know what happened.” The operator asks, “Is there any way you can go down there at all?” Price replies, “I’ll try, I don’t know, I mean…”  When the operator asks if anyone else is there who can go downstairs, Price says, “No,” and adds, “I’ve just been kind of sick. I don’t want to be traumatized right now.”  Price then is heard saying, “Gary, are you okay?” and telling him, “Stay where you are” and “Don’t move, Gary.”

The operator asks Price to tell Coleman to put pressure on his own wound. “Gary, you have to put pressure on your wound,” Price is heard saying. “He’s lethargic, I can’t really help him. I just need help quick.”  The operator says help is on the way. “I just can’t be here with the blood,” Price says. “I’m sorry, I can’t do it. I can’t. … There’s blood all over and I can’t do anything.”  Price then says, “I can’t drive” because she’s been sick with a fever. “I can’t do anything right now.” The operator asks Price “to at least give him a towel” so Coleman can apply pressure to his wound. Price replies, “Yeah, I’m just panicked. I don’t know what to do … I just don’t want him to die. I’m freaking out.”

Next, she’s heard telling Coleman, “You have to put this on your head … Keep pressure on this, okay, hold this.” She tells Coleman, “You need to sit down. Sit down! Gary, sit down!”  She tells the operator just moments before emergency crews arrive: “I’m gagging, I got blood on myself, I can’t deal.”

Coleman, 42, was taken off life support two days later after doctors determined he’d suffered a brain hemorrhage and his condition worsened. An official cause of death is still pending an investigation. Police say there was nothing suspicious about his accident.

Funeral plans have not yet been finalized, although the Price family may hold services by week’s end in Utah, according to Coleman’s attorney Randy Kester.

Gary Coleman ILLEGALLY Removed From Life Support!

Gary Coleman and Shannon Price

Lawd … as if this couldn’t get any more complicated! It appears as though Gary Coleman was divorced when he passed away. So, that means the woman who removed him from life support didn’t have that authority at all! I Can’t …

Shannon Price portrayed herself to emergency crews and hospital staff as Gary Coleman’s wife, but his former lawyer now says the pair weren’t legally married at the time of the actor’s death.  “I can confirm they’ve been divorced since August 12, 2008,” attorney Randy Kester, who handled the divorce, says. “At the time of Gary’s death, they were not married. I have no knowledge if they were ever remarried.”

The discovery comes after documents were posted on ETOnline Wednesday showing the couple had divorced, though their names were listed as John Doe and Jane Doe.  “Gary wanted me to keep their divorce private,” Kester says, “but now that it’s been made public, I’m compelled to say it’s all true.”  Shielia Erickson, a Salt Lake City agent who represents Price, says she isn’t sure about the couple’s marital status. “I wish I could clear that up … I’m still waiting to find out myself from Shannon.” But she says Price and Coleman took care of each other. “They needed each other and loved each other,” says Erickson. “They wanted to work through their problems.”

The revelation that they were not legally married calls into question whether Price, 24, had the authority to make any medical decisions on the actor’s behalf – as well as any future decisions, such as funeral arrangements or those concerning his estate.

The actor, 42, was taken off life support Friday with Price’s permission. A 911 call tape released Wednesday also revealed that Price initially resisted giving Coleman medical aid. “We’re definitely concerned about this and we’re looking into what exactly happened here,” says Janet Frank, spokeswoman for the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center where Coleman died. “Shannon certainly portrayed herself as his wife to our staff and doctors. We assumed she was telling the truth. We can’t comment on specific details in Mr. Coleman’s case, but in general, any patient on life support is thoroughly evaluated medically before life support is ended.”  Adds attorney Kester: “It’s possible that Gary gave Shannon the authority in writing at the hospital to make medical decisions for him, but whether he did, I don’t know.”  Reached for comment regarding the divorce, Gary’s mother, Sue Coleman, said: “It’s too early for us to comment on this. Of course we’re concerned, but we need to find out more information.”

The Colemans, whom the actor had stopped communicating with approximately 15 years ago, say that Price’s brother has reached out to them regarding funeral plans, “but it’s still unclear what [the Prices] have in mind, but of course we’d love to be there.”  Erickson says the funeral plans are being made now: “We’re looking at Gary’s wishes in the will and also what the family wants. Shannon’s only goal is to make sure his wishes are accomplished.”
