Gary Coleman’s Wife Paused On Getting Him Medical Assistance.

Gary Coleman and Shannon Price

Gary Coleman‘s panicked wife initially balked at helping him after he suffered an apparent head injury that left him bloodied, according her 911 call. Shannon Price, 24, tells the operator that Coleman was stricken while preparing her something to eat the evening of May 26 downstairs in their Santaquin, Utah, home.  “He just got home, I heard this big bang, I went downstairs. Blood everywhere,” she says. “I don’t know if he’s okay. I’m not down there right now because I have a fever, if I get stressed out I’m going to faint.”

Price says, “He fell. His head is bloody. There’s blood all over the floor. I don’t know what happened.” The operator asks, “Is there any way you can go down there at all?” Price replies, “I’ll try, I don’t know, I mean…”  When the operator asks if anyone else is there who can go downstairs, Price says, “No,” and adds, “I’ve just been kind of sick. I don’t want to be traumatized right now.”  Price then is heard saying, “Gary, are you okay?” and telling him, “Stay where you are” and “Don’t move, Gary.”

The operator asks Price to tell Coleman to put pressure on his own wound. “Gary, you have to put pressure on your wound,” Price is heard saying. “He’s lethargic, I can’t really help him. I just need help quick.”  The operator says help is on the way. “I just can’t be here with the blood,” Price says. “I’m sorry, I can’t do it. I can’t. … There’s blood all over and I can’t do anything.”  Price then says, “I can’t drive” because she’s been sick with a fever. “I can’t do anything right now.” The operator asks Price “to at least give him a towel” so Coleman can apply pressure to his wound. Price replies, “Yeah, I’m just panicked. I don’t know what to do … I just don’t want him to die. I’m freaking out.”

Next, she’s heard telling Coleman, “You have to put this on your head … Keep pressure on this, okay, hold this.” She tells Coleman, “You need to sit down. Sit down! Gary, sit down!”  She tells the operator just moments before emergency crews arrive: “I’m gagging, I got blood on myself, I can’t deal.”

Coleman, 42, was taken off life support two days later after doctors determined he’d suffered a brain hemorrhage and his condition worsened. An official cause of death is still pending an investigation. Police say there was nothing suspicious about his accident.

Funeral plans have not yet been finalized, although the Price family may hold services by week’s end in Utah, according to Coleman’s attorney Randy Kester.

Foul Play In Gary Coleman’s Death? His Parents Want Answers.

Gary Coleman Dies

In the last 10 years, the only way Sue and Willie Coleman kept up with their estranged son’s- Gary Coleman’s– life was through

gary colemanheadlines: his marriage, his legal problems, and finally, his hospitalization and removal from life support on Friday.   “We would’ve loved to have been there by his side at the hospital, to let him know we love him before he passed away,” Sue Coleman, 67, says. “This is a shock to us. We loved Gary very much. We’re going to miss him.” Janet Frank, a spokeswoman for Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, would only say that an “accident” occurred in the actor’s Santaquin, Utah, home on Wednesday evening, and that Coleman had suffered an intracranial hemorrhage.  She declined to give details, citing the wishes of Gary’s wife, Shannon Price, 24, and her family. The official cause of death is still under investigation, Frank says.  “We’re not pointing fingers at anyone, but we need to know exactly what happened” says Sue, a longtime nurse who lives with her husband, Willie, 71, a retired forklift driver, in suburban Illinois. “We’re not angry. We’re just concerned. Did our son fall down the stairs? Did he fall in the bathtub? We need to have some closure on our son’s life.”

Coleman and his wife had a stormy past – Coleman pleaded guilty to domestic violence in February – but Santaquin Police Chief Dennis Howard says , “There was absolutely nothing suspicious about [Coleman’s] death. There is no [criminal] investigation going on.”  The Price family could not be reached for comment.  The Colemans believe Shannon can provide details of the accident, and tried to pass messages to her when they first heard their son was hospitalized, but to no avail. They say they also tried to contact the Price family by calling Santaquin police, which turned out to be the day he was taken off life support.  “We respect the relationship our son had with Shannon,” Sue adds. “When we found out he got married, we thought, ‘Well, at least he has someone in his life who he cares about and who cares about him.’ We were happy about that. But it’s frustrating that we haven’t heard from the Price family. But it’s possible they didn’t even know we existed. Gary may have told her that he didn’t have any family.”

Although the actor famously sued his parents and business manager in 1989 for allegedly stealing his multimillion-dollar fortune – a claim his parents have long denied, citing their continuous working-class life – his mother and father say their door, and hearts, were always open to their son. The Colemans, they say, had simply become entangled in the complications of their son’s worldwide fame.  “Gary wanted to live his life the way he wanted to live it, on his own terms,” Sue says. “And that’s what we let him do. But our address and phone number haven’t changed for more than 20 years. He could’ve gotten in touch with us any time he wanted to. We were always open to him and he knew that we loved him.”

Gary Coleman Dies At 42.

Gary Coleman

Former child star Gary Coleman died Friday after suffering an intercranial hemorrhage from a head injury that occurred at his Utah home this week. The “Diff’rent Strokes” star was 42.

Utah Valley Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Janet Frank said life-support was terminated and Coleman died at 12:05 p.m. local time.  His wife, Shannon Price, made the decision to pull the actor off life support early Friday morning. Friends and family members were reportedly by Coleman’s side when he passed.

Since the incident Wednesday, Coleman, best known for playing Arnold in the ’70s TV sitcom, had slipped into a coma, according to his rep John Alcantar.  Though Alcantar initially said Coleman was “conscious and lucid,” his condition quickly took a turn for the worse and he was placed on life-support midday Thursday.  Price released a statement Thursday to KUTV-TV, saying that the actor was taken to the hospital with “a serious medical problem.”  “We are asking for everyone’s prayers at this time,” she said. “We hope those prayers are answered and that Gary will be able to recover and return home soon.”

Coleman had a long history of health issues.  In February, he suffered a seizure while on the set of “The Insider.” Coleman, whose growth was stunted by a congenital kidney defect, also had two kidney transplants, in 1973 and in 1984.

Gary Coleman Hospitalized In Critical Condition.

Former child television star Gary Coleman is in critical condition near his Utah home with what his family calls a “serious medical problem.” Utah Valley Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Janet Frank said Coleman, 42, was admitted to the Provo facility Wednesday but she couldn’t release any other details.

Coleman’s Utah lawyer, Randy Kester, said he had communicated by text message with Coleman’s wife, Shannon Price, and that the family did not want to release any additional details at this time. “Anything they could say would be premature because they don’t know the full extent of his condition right now,” Kester said.

Price and her father released a statement Thursday to KUTV-TV saying Coleman was taken to the hospital with “a serious medical problem.” The statement asks for prayers, adding: “We hope those prayers are answered and that Gary will be able to recover and return home soon.”

The former star of TV’s “Diff’rent Strokes” has had a string of financial and legal problems, in addition to continuing ill health from the kidney disease he suffered as a child. Coleman has had at least two kidney transplants and receives dialysis.

Last fall, Coleman had heart surgery that was complicated by pneumonia, Kester said.

Corey Haim’s Death NOT Caused By Drugs.

L.A. County Coroner is about to release the report on Corey Haim‘s death … and it was not caused by drugs … it’s listed as a natural death.

In lay terms, Corey had a bad heart and pneumonia.  As for drugs, there were traces of several drugs but nothing severe enough to contribute to Haim’s death.

As for the causes of death …. diffuse alveolar damage — respiratory distress.  In addition, the Coroner found hypertrophic cardiomyopathy — the muscle in his heart thickened, making it hard for blood to flow.

And the Coroner also found a hardening of the arteries that supply blood to the heart.

Corey Haim’s Funeral NOT Paid For; Corey Feldman NOT Attending. (WTF?)

Corey Haim's Funeral: Toronto Not Paying, Corey Feldman Not Going | Corey Haim

Despite claims by Corey Haim’s mother, Judy Haim, that the city of Toronto would foot the bill for her son’s funeral Tuesday, a spokesman for the city says that’s not the case.

“The City of Toronto confirms no involvement in funeral costs for Mr. Haim,” Toronto’s communications director Kevin Sack said Monday. “The City of Toronto has never received an application for assistance with the funeral costs for Mr. Haim.”

Meanwhile, Haim’s longtime best friend Corey Feldman says he won’t attend the service.

“The family has decided to make Corey’s funeral on Tuesday a small private affair,” Feldman said in a statement. “Understanding the recent media attention and to be respectful of the family’s wishes I have decided not to attend. Instead I will remain in Los Angeles quietly mourning and planning his memorial.”

Haim, 38, died Wednesday of a possible accidental drug overdose, though toxicology reports are pending. The former teen idol and star of The Lost Boys had battled substance abuse problems for much of his life.

Corey Haim’s Final Moments.

Corey Haim's Final Moments: Dizzy, Stumbling with Flu Symptoms

Corey Haim had been suffering from flu-like symptoms for several days before finally stumbling in front of his mother at her Los Angeles apartment early this morning, a coroner spokesman confirms.

“Some time after midnight, he got up, he was dizzy and unsteady on his feet and knelt down,” L.A. County Coroner Assistant Chief Ed Winter tells PEOPLE. “His mom helped him to a bed and he became unresponsive in about a minute or so. She dialed 911 and he was pronounced dead at a local hospital at 2:15 a.m.”

The death of the former ’80s heartthrob at age 38 has been ruled inconclusive pending an autopsy and toxicology test. But Winter says, “LAPD believes it was a possible drug overdose.”

Haim had been living with her mother as she battled cancer, Judy Haim tells RadarOnline. “I am a cancer victim and Corey was helping me at home,” she said. “He was a good boy. I’m devastated by his death.”

A neighbor, Eric Jay, says that Haim had been caring for his mother and was a regular fixture around the apartment complex. “It was a real shame. His mom was sick and he was talking care of her.”

Jay adds that Haim seemed to be on an upswing in life. “I saw him a few days ago with [his] mom by the pool,” he says. “He was humble but inspirational to the actors around here. He was getting himself together.”

Winter confirms that four prescription medication bottles were found in the home in Corey Haim’s name. Winter wouldn’t verify what drugs they were, though he says no illegal drugs were found.

Haim’s mother told investigators that her son “had problems with prescription meds and that he had been in rehab on and off over the years,” Winter says.

Gary Coleman Suffers A Seizure.

Gary Coleman suffered an apparent seizure this morning while on the set of “The Insider” and was rushed to the hospital … according to sources on set. We’re told Dr. Drew was with Coleman at the time as part of some kind of panel — and Dr. Drew actually helped Coleman until paramedics arrived. Paramedics tell TMZ a male was transported from the studio at around 10:14 AM. Coleman was hospitalized on January 6 after suffering what he called “a little seizure activity.” Coleman walked off the show last week, after the panel repeatedly asked him if he beat his wife.
