Mariah Carey Abruptly Pulls Out Of Tyler Perry’s LATEST Film Project.

Tyler Perry's decision to direct 'For Colored Girls' produces mixed feelings

Mariah Carey abruptly pulled out of her role in Tyler Perry‘s new film this week, sparking renewed speculation the singer/actress is pregnant. Carey, who won acclaim for her work in Precious, was set to appear in the adaptation of Ntozake Shange’s 1975 play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf. Filming was set to start next month.  But on Tuesday Carey abruptly withdrew from the project.  “I’m not at liberty to discuss her personal life at this time,” Carey’s spokeswoman Cindi Berger says, declining to give a reason for Carey’s withdrawal.

Lynn Redgrave Laid To Rest Near Her Connecticut Home.

Actress Lynn Redgrave, 67, died at her home in Connecticut May 2 after battling breast cancer.

A funeral service was held yesterday for Lynn Redgrave near her Connecticut home, almost a week after the 67-year-old actress died of cancer.

Redgrave died Sunday night at her home in Kent., Conn., surrounded by her children. She had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002.

Her death came during a difficult time for the famous acting family. Her older brother, Corin Redgrave, died last month and her niece, Natasha Richardson, died last year at age 45 from head injuries suffered in a skiing accident.

Not as acclaimed or outspoken as her older sister, Vanessa Redgrave, Lynn still enjoyed a long career in film and stage, including an Oscar nomination for her 1966 star-making turn in “Georgy Girl.”

She was buried near her mother  in upstate New York.

Steven Seagal Paged Actresses For Sexual Services.

UPISteven Seagal

Steven Seagal paged young actresses on his movies to come to his hotel room at night and demanded they undress in his trailer, a co-star has alleged.

The action hero is denying the new allegations by the actress, who asked not to be named, that he hit on the women in his 1991 movie “Out for Justice,” and made an obscene sexual suggestion to her in a late-night phone call. She told us, “Seagal’s type was young, exotic-looking girls. He asked me and three other actresses to parade through his trailer, then asked me to stay.

“The wardrobe girl gave me a tacky corset and a tiny skirt and told me, ‘He wants you to try this on,’ [and] . . . led me into the bedroom. As soon as I undressed, he tried to come in. I didn’t have a top on, so I pushed the door closed and screamed. When I came out, my boobs were hanging out. I was offered a contract.

“At least two other actresses on the set had beepers,” our source continued. “He would beep them to go to his hotel room at night. His then-wife Kelly LeBrock was suspicious and showed up on set. She had just given birth to their son. I felt so bad for her.

“One night, he called me at home . . . he said, ‘Do you want to come to my hotel room?’ I said, ‘I don’t feel comfortable with that.’ He asked if I wanted to perform a sex act on him. I said, ‘I have a boyfriend and you are married.’ Days later I was released — technically, fired.”

Seagal’s lawyer, Marty Singer, said of the claims: “This is totally false. It’s ridiculous that she is coming forward 20 years later . . . It is interesting this person doesn’t give her name to give her claims legitimacy. I suspect she is a resentful one-time actress who has not become a major star.”

Seagal’s publicist, Ken Sunshine, added, “They are coming out of the woodwork, but this woodwork isn’t usually 20 years old.”

Ex-model Kayden Nguyen previously filed a $1 million suit against Seagal, claiming he hired her as an aide but used her as a “sex toy.” Singer called the claims “absurd.”

Lindsay Lohan Fired From Doomed Movie Project.

It’s been a rough week for Lindsay Lohan. Mere days after father Michael Lohan tried to stage an intervention by breaking into her apartment, Lindsay has been fired from her new movie, “The Other Side,” before production even began.

Director David Michaels told TMZ, “our team simply chose to move on from Lindsay and we’ll soon be announcing a replacement.” This statement stands in stark contrast to Michaels’ comments on the eve of Lindsay’s casting in May 2009. “Lindsay’s very aware of people’s perceptions of her. She’s really committed to doing what she has to in order to change that,” he said at the time.

In the film- which still co-stars Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette– Lindsay would have played a grad student working on a deserted desert island.

The firing reportedly took place because the “The Other Side’s” financial backers were nervous about Lindsay’s bankability at the box office. A fear that is more than warranted.

Public perception not withstanding, Lindsay’s been M.I.A. from the big screen since 2007’s psychological stripper flop “I Know Who Killed Me” and hasn’t starred in a profitable film since 2004’s “Mean Girls.”

This news only fuels sentiments that “The Other Side” is Hollywood’s latest cursed production — Brittany Murphy was attached to the film when she died in December. Perhaps it’s also time to let the film go quietly into that good night.

50 Cent Ridding Himself Of Tattoos.

Why Is 50 Cent Removing His Tattoos?

50 CentCurtis Jackson – has begun removing most of his tattoos. Turns out, that ink is causing a problem as he turns his focus to acting, with roles in the upcoming drama Twelve, costarring Chace Crawford, and the football flick Things Fall Apart, due out next year.

“It cuts down on the amount of time I have to spend in makeup covering them up,” 50 Cent says about his decision, which he calls “an ongoing process.”

Still, don’t expect him to rid himself of all the ink. His arms may be tattoo free, but 50’s vowed to keep a tattoo on his back.

Women ALWAYS Threw Themselves At Jesse James.

Source: Women Throw Themselves at Jesse James

Jesse James is married to America’s Sweetheart, but in his life as the high-profile owner of the West Coast Choppers empire he is often surrounded by female admirers, according to some who know the motorcycle mogul.

Sandra Bullock‘s husband is “heavily targeted and pursued” by women, a source tells PEOPLE. “Those girls throw themselves at them.”

The source adds that temptations were around before tattoo model Michelle McGee met James and came forward with allegations of a steamy affair with James. On Thursday James called the “vast majority” of allegations “untrue and unfounded,” but apologized to his wife and children for “this whole situation.”

According to another source, James had been hanging around “people that [Sandra] may not have necessarily approved of – women.”

Still, that source tells PEOPLE that the The Blind Side Oscar winner always saw the best in her husband. “She trusted him,” says the source.

“It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way,” he said. “This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me.”

In his statement to People magazine’s Web site, James also called “the vast majority” of allegations against him “untrue and unfounded.”

James did, however, take blame for cheating on Bullock.

There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me,” he said.

Bullock has since moved out of their Los Angeles home after it was revealed that her motorcycle-loving hubby bedded an admittedly “evil” tattooed biker groupie.
