Last night, J. Cole’s “Dollar & A Dream” tour hit Los Angeles, where he performed two shows, charging fans just $1 each. Cole invited out Compton’s own Kendrick Lamar, but only after hit maker Drake took the stage with him first.
During the end of Drake’s set, he stepped to the front of the stage and proclaimed he and J. Cole were the only one’s running rap right now, calling them “the only two kings” in the game.
Many wondered if this was a slight jab at Kendrick, who many consider to be one of the most revered MCs in the game right now, especially since Drizzy made the bold claim in Los Angeles. As Drake performed at the first show, and Kendrick at the second, there’s no word if the two crossed paths.
Do you think Drake was addressing Kendrick with the comment or was he just being supportive of Cole? Sound off below.
MY WORD: Hey telling the truth ain’t never made me sad in fact it’s only made me glad. I call it justice
