Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova ripping each other apart in the media

Oh Boy!! IF these two meet at Wimbledon  it will  must see tv. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova has never really liked each other  anyone can see that, they have stayed cordial  but never had any type of friendship. In an interview with Rolling Stones Magazine

Serena commented on an “anonymous” player, saying, “There are people who live, breathe and dress tennis. I mean, seriously, give it a rest …She begins every interview with ‘I’m so happy. I’m so lucky’ – it’s so boring,” says Serena in a loud voice. “She’s still not going to be invited to the cool parties. And, hey, if she wants to be with the guy with a black heart, go for it.” (An educated guess is she’s talking about Sharapova, who is now dating Grigor Dimitrov, one of Serena’s rumored exes).

Sharapova obviously took offense to what was said and let it be known that she wasn’t so happy about it to the media on Saturday.

“Obviously I have a tremendous amount of respect for Serena and what she’s achieved on the court,” Sharapova said. “If she wants to talk about something personal, maybe she should talk about her relationship and her boyfriend that was married and is getting a divorce and has kids. Talk about other things, but not draw attention to other things.”

Yikes. The person in question that Sharapova seems to be focusing on is coach Patrick Mouratoglou, who Serena has been linked to in the past, but if nothing else it gives us a great talking point heading into the biggest tennis tournament of the year. It also gives credence to the theory that professional sports is just one big, dramatic seventh grade lunch table and rumors fly just like they did when we were kids.

MY WORD: I can’t wait until the next time they play  the wold world will be watching
